Rebecca Moccia: Nostalgism at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, Dublin, Ireland
The exhibition presents a new multi-channel video and sculptural installation exploring nostalgia as a personal, historical, and political force shaped by Naples, Moccia’s birthplace, and its twentieth-century histories of war, migration, industrialization, volcanic eruption, and cultural transformation. Through archival footage, family memories, oral histories, and fragmented sculptural forms, Moccia examines how nostalgia can be used to shape identity, emotion, and collective memory.
